MHS Class of 2022 Scores above National Average on ACT
MHS Class of 2022
Model High School's (MHS) Class of 2022 average ACT score was 21.4 compared to the national average of 19.8. This score was the highest among the four district high schools. MHS was just below the state with a recorded average composite score of 21.6.
Students earn a score on a scale of 1 to 36. The average MHS scores by subject on the ACT used to calculate the overall composite average are: English, 21; Math, 20.2; Reading, 22.3; Science, 21.7.
The ACT is taken in lieu of or along with the SAT, and the Class of 2022's ACT scores follow outstanding SAT results released earlier this fall.
"I am very proud of the class of 2022, along with the hard-working teachers who worked to open up opportunities for them," State School Superintendent Richard Woods said. "These students did not have an easy or typical high-school experience– the pandemic began during their sophomore year. Despite that, they have continued to beat the odds and find success– beating the Nation on the ACT and SAT and recording an all-time-high graduation rate. I wish them great success in their futures."
