  • Coach Todd Wheeler Announces Resignation After Seven Years as Coosa High Head Football Coach

    After seven seasons, Todd Wheeler has resigned as Coosa High School’s (CHS) Head Football Coach. Coach Wheeler submitted his letter of resignation to the school following the end of the 2019 season. Although he will no longer be leading CHS’s football team, Wheeler will continue in his roles as CHS’s business technology teacher and as an assistant soccer coach.

    As part of the L4-GA grant for literacy, Mrs. Schroeder's workshop aimed to help parents learn the most effective techniques for introducing literacy success to their preschool-age children, while at the same time providing a fun and engaging event for the parents and children together.

  • Armuchee Middle Leads Annual Floyd County Schools Middle School Math Competition

    Armuchee Middle School is currently leading in the 2020 Floyd County Schools Middle School Math Competition. Part one of the annual academic competition was held on Wednesday, November 6 at the Rome-Floyd County Library with teams of sixth, seventh, and eighth-graders competing from each middle school in the Floyd County school system.
