Nine sign at Floyd County Schools College and Career Academy’s 3rd Annual Georgia Future Educators Signing Day
Across the state on May 8th, local school systems hosted their own Georgia Future Educators Signing Day. Floyd County Schools College and Career Academy (FCS CCA) was proud to participate in this special event. This initiative provided the opportunity to recognize high school students who have decided to dedicate their service in the field of education.

New Student Registration Dates for the 2019-2020 School Year
New student registration for the 2019–2020 school year will be held at the Floyd County Schools (FCS) Central Office, located at 600 Riverside Parkway, NE, Rome, GA. These new registration dates are for students new to the school system or students who have moved to a new attendance area within the system.

Intra-District transfer window opens May 31
The Intra-District transfer window will open for students currently attending a Floyd County school to apply for a transfer to a different school within the school system on Friday, May 31 and close on Friday, June 14, 2019, at 3 p.m for regular program students. The deadline for submitting an application for Intra-District transfer for special needs students is Tuesday, September 3, 2019.

Armuchee Middle School Named a 2019 Ascend Math Gold Medal Recipient
Ascend Education has announced that Armuchee Middle School in Armuchee, GA has received a 2019 Gold Medal. The Gold Medal Award was established in 2010 to honor the schools or districts that best demonstrate a dedication to ensuring that all students become successful at math. The strategies employed by this year’s Gold Medal honorees made use of Ascend Math, an online individualized math instructional resource, to accelerate math learning and improve standardized test scores.
