Project SEARCH Interns Graduate at AdventHealth Redmond

AdventHealth Redmond has partnered with Floyd County Schools for their Project SEARCH program for seven years to help students with disabilities prepare for successful employment in the community. The hospital recently held a graduation ceremony for the Project SEARCH student interns to celebrate their accomplishments and completion of the program.

Intra-District transfer window opens June 1

The Intra-District transfer window will open for all students currently attending a Floyd County school to apply for a transfer to a different school within the school system on Thursday, June 1, and close on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at 3 p.m.

Sarah Emmer named FCS Swim Head Coach

Floyd County Schools is excited to announce Sarah Baker Emmer as the new head coach of the district swim team!

FCS Seniors Receive FCPD SRO Award and Scholarship

School resource officers (SRO) from the Floyd County Police Department honored four Floyd County high school seniors with awards and $1,000 scholarships due to their character and example to others. This is the second year officers have made recognition of this type, but the first time a scholarship has been awarded.
