    Johnson Elementary has been named a PBIS Distinguished School for the 3rd consecutive year! The purpose of the "PBIS Distinguished School" recognition is to identify schools that exemplify best practices in the implementation of PBIS!

    Are you planning to attend your child's field trip this year, visit for lunch, or attend a school event during school hours?  If so, please ensure you are aware of the required procedures so you will have any forms or background checks completed in time to attend.    

    Click  HERE for the forms you will need to attend lunch, a field trip, or other event during school hours.  Only adults who have completed the required PSI background check will be allowed to volunteer or attend field trips.  This process may take several weeks to process, so please plan ahead.  Background checks are good for 3 years.

    Regular attendance and on-time arrival is an important component of a student's academic success. Our school day begins at 7:55 a.m.  Children should arrive by 7:45 a.m. if they will be eating breakfast with us. Thank you for supporting your child's education at Johnson Elementary School!

  • U.S. Secretary of Education Announces Johnson Elementary as a 2020 National Blue Ribbon School

    U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos today recognized Johnson Elementary School (JES) as one of 367 National Blue Ribbon Schools for 2020 and one of only five public elementary schools in the state of Georgia. The recognition is based on a school’s overall academic performance or progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups. JES was previously named a National Blue Ribbon School in 2010.
