After School Care Program

Program Information

The after school care program (ASCP) is a project of Floyd county school system. The purpose of the program is to provide a safe, supervised, and relaxed environment for children after the regular school day.
The after school care program is available to any student enrolled in a full accounting elementary school if they have been properly registered and all fees have been prepaid. Each child will be provided supervised physical activities, the study time with assistance from certified teacher, and other supervised activities in the school they attend following the regular school day.
A minimum of ten students must register before the school can offer an after-care program.

Program Costs

The cost for students but dissipating in the after school care program is $5.00 per day. Two or more children from the same family qualify for discounts one job pays full price, others from the family paid $2.00 each.
It is requested that the payment be made the first Monday of each month or each week for weekly payments make checks payable to the school your child attends.
Drop-ins are welcomed if they have been properly registered and these are prepaid.
Payment should be returned and the appropriate envelope provided by the school.
A late fee of $2.00 per minute will be charged for each student picked up after 6:00 PM. This late fee must be paid before the student will be allowed to continue to stay for the after school care program.

Behavior

After school care program is a privilege. Therefore, we want it to be fun for the students. We strive to promote an atmosphere conducted to safety inappropriate behavior. Maintain proper conduct while in the program is a joint sponsor to look the other students, parents, and teachers.
Parents will be notified if their child violates the rules.
Students who do not obey will be withdrawn from the program.

Registration

To register your child for the after school care program; please complete the proper form from the school's administrative office. A child must be properly and enrolled in the after school care program before staying.
