This is the image for the news article titled Coosa and Pepperell in Annual Shrine Game this SaturdayThe Coosa Eagles will host the Pepperell Dragons in the annual Shrine Game on Saturday at Coosa High School.  There has been confusion about the game due to some schedules listing the game to be played on Friday.  The game will be played on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Coosa High.  Some schedules were printed after verbal discussions that would have played the game on Friday, but when final contracts were signed, the game was listed as a Saturday contest.  The Saturday 7-AA game with be the first region contest for both teams this season. 

The 65th Annual Shrine Game was started in Rome in 1948 and was played for many years at Barron Stadium.  The game is a fund raiser to help give crippled and severely burned children in Rome and Floyd County the opportunity to receive medical care through the Shriners' hospitals.  
All the proceeds from the Shrine Game will go toward helping the club care for and transport children to Shriners’ hospitals.
