Pre-K Registration 2015 (Reminder)
Friday is last day for Pre-K registration
Posted on 02/10/2015
If you have been waiting to register your child for Pre-K for next year, now is the time to check that off your to-do list.  Registration for Pre-K will run through Friday in Floyd County Schools.  Floyd County Schools Pre-K registration period opened on Monday, February 2 and will conclude this Friday, February 13, 2015.

Those not already registered are not too late.  Everyone registered during the open registration period has an equal opportunity to get into a class this fall.  To be eligible for Pre-K, a child must be four-years-old on or before September 1, 2015.  There is legislation to change the eligibility date pending but those proposals have not been passed and it appears that Pre-K eligibility will not be impacted for this year.

Applications for the program are available at each school in the system offering a Pre-K class and completed forms should be turned-in to the local school by Friday.  At the end of the registration period, names will be randomly drawn from applications received to fill the number of spaces available at each school site. All applying for the program will be notified by mail concerning the status of their application by the end of February.

Pre-K sites in Floyd County Schools for 2015-2016 are: Alto Park Elementary, Cave Spring Elementary, Garden Lakes Elementary, Glenwood Primary, Johnson Elementary, McHenry Primary, Model Elementary, and Pepperell Primary.  Pre-K is the first step on the journey to Destination Graduation!
