The new Model High School will be open for the community to tour the new facility before the school’s homecoming football game this Friday. The school will be open for tours from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 17. Those touring will be invited to stop by the media center where past and present yearbooks will be on display for visitors to look through and relive old memories. “Many have asked about tours of the new school so we wanted to take this opportunity at homecoming to open the new building to the community,” said Model High principal Dr. Glenn White. “We hope that everyone will come out and see this wonderful new school facility here at Model and stay for our homecoming festivities and the football game.”

The new $28 million Model High School project was approved as part of Education SPLOST III passed by local voters. The new school is a two-story, modern facility designed to handle the current student enrollment and provide room for growth in the future.
