PHS senior receives Northwest Georgia Credit Union scholarship

Aaron Morgan, a senior at Pepperell High School has been selected by Northwest Georgia Credit Union as the recipient of the Progressive Leadership Scholarship. Morgan will graduate with his PHS class on Saturday evening and plans to attend Georgia Tech in the fall to study Public Policy.

Morgan is a member of the National Honor Society, served in the Key Club and Student Council, was named an AP Scholar, and was selected to represent Floyd County Schools in the United States Senate Youth Program. The United States Senate Youth Program (USSYP) is an intensive week-long educational experience and scholarship sponsored by the United States Senate for outstanding high school students interested in pursuing careers in public service. Morgan has served more than 200 hours in community service. 

According to information from Northwest Georgia Credit Union, the Progressive Leadership Scholarship commemorates a student with leadership skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a passion for a cause of their own with the skills to make it happen.
