Bethel School

Bethel was a small, rural, community based school located in the Model School District. In 1917, the community petitioned the Board of Education to build a school in the Bethel Community. The Board agreed to establish the school only if the community could construct a schoolhouse. Although this school was successful, in 3 short years, the Board decided it was best if the school was discontinued, and the remaining students would attend Hickory Grove School or Model School. The schoolhouse was later given to the trustees of the Model School to dispose of.
