Floyd County Schools Pre-K registration period for the graduating class of 2031 is scheduled for Monday, January 30 through Friday, February 10, 2017. This is an opportunity for parents to register their children for the slots available in the Pre-K program in Floyd County Schools for the 2017-2018 school year. To be eligible for Pre-K, a child must be four-years-old on or before September 1, 2017.

Applications for the program will be available at each school in the system offering a Pre-K class beginning on Monday, January 30. Completed forms should be returned to the local school and proof of residency will be required to submitting an application.  Proof of residency may be a gas, power or water bill.
Pre-K slots are not filled on a first come basis so it is not necessary to be first in line on the first day of registration. This means that applications received on the first and last day of the application period will have an equal opportunity to be selected to participate in the program. Names will be randomly drawn from applications received to fill the number of spaces available at each school site. Applications of children living in the district of a school are given first priority. All applying for the program will be notified by mail concerning the status of their application by the end of February.

Pre-K sites in Floyd County Schools for 2017-2018 are  Alto Park Elementary, Cave Spring Elementary, Garden Lakes Elementary, Glenwood Primary, Johnson Elementary, McHenry Primary, Model Elementary, and Pepperell Primary.
