Junior Shines at State Tournament
 Coosa’s
Chelsea Overby led the entire competition going
into the final round of the State Discus Championship in Albany. however, her final throw was good enough for bronze in the Class
AA discus finals with a 111-8 for third place. Calhoun’s Katelynn
Poole finished right behind her in fourth with a 104-1. The Coosa community
is extremely proud of Chelsea,
and wishes her the best of luck for next season.

REGION DISCUS CHAMPION !! Mullenax sisters excel in first Region Meet.
 Chelsea Overby threw the heavy Frisbee-like disc for a region
high 109ft., 11 inches to win the Region 7AA Championship and advance to the
state tournament in Albany. Freshmen Elizabeth Mullenax and Rebcaa Mullenax finished 5th in the 3200 meters and 6th
in the 800 meters respectively to cap
a very solid performance for the Lady Eagles
