Today’s Important Announcements

*      Thanks to all who tried out for the spring play. Cast list will be posted this afternoon at 3, and practice will begin today. All practices this week will be from 3:15-4:30.

 

*      All juniors, and any senior who has not passed any part of the graduation tests, must attend Spring Intersession next week in order to prepare for the graduation tests. Intercession and Bus Routes are posted on the front office window.

 

*      The ASSET test will be given to students who need to retake parts or the entire test on Wednesday, March 10th at 8:30 am in the GO Center. Any junior who signed up for dual enrollment through Georgia Northwestern Technical College MUST take this test. See Mrs. Whitfield for study guides.

 

*       There will be an important sophomore class meeting on Wednesday, March 10th.

 

*      The last day sign up for Driver’s Ed to be held during Spring Intersession is March 10th. Registrations forms are available in Mrs. Stover’s office.

 

*      Any junior who wishes to take dual enrollment classes next year needs to see Mrs. Whitfield to sign up. Deadline is Wednesday, March 10th.

 

*      Students who wish to take an AP exam need to pay your deposit of $13 per test to Mrs. Whitfield by Thursday, March 11th.

 

*                  The next Georgia High School Graduation Test is March 22nd thru the 25th. Sophomores will take a practice test on March 22nd thru March 24th.

 

*      During lunch, guess how many candies there are and win the entire jar! Guesses are 25 ¢ each and go towards the Ashley Brooke Jones memorial campus beautification project sponsored by the Junior Optimist Club. Winners will be announced Thursday, March 11th

 

*                  Anyone interested in trying out for Game Squad Cheerleading, needs to see Ms. Hill to sign up. Tryouts will be March 22nd thru 26th.

 

*                  Sports Scheduled for today:  Competition Cheerleader Tryouts, Tennis plays Armuchee, and the Boys’ Soccer team will play Model at Shorter’s Ben Brady Practice Field located behind the baseball stadium at 7 pm.

Announce occasionally (in order of importance)

*                  The Follies will be on Friday, March 26th at 7:00 pm.

 

*                  Teaching as a Profession classes will begin in the fall at the College and Career Academy. Juniors may sign up with Mrs. Whitfield if you are interested in this class. (end 3-31)

 

*                  Seniors who have completed 100 hours of community service while in high school need to turn in proof of their hours to Mrs. Whitfield no later than Monday, March 22nd. This is the Monday following Spring Intersession. 

 

*                  Seniors need to bring copies of all acceptance letters and all scholarship offers to Mrs. Whitfield in the GO Center.

 

*                  Yearbooks can be purchased online at our website, coosahigh.net and Senior DVD’s can be purchased in the Tech Lab.

 

*                  Senior Girls will be wearing WHITE gowns at graduation this year. You need to start looking for a solid white dress for graduation.

 

*                  All male students who are 18 years old must register with the Selective Service. Please see Mrs. Whitfield if you need help registering.
