*               Class t-shirts will be on sale in the cafeteria until next Friday, Sept. 3.  Orders will be placed on Friday. Shirts are pre-pay and are $12. Shirts may also be ordered from Mrs. Whitfield or Mrs. Day in the GO Center. Faculty shirts are also available.

*               Freshmen d-hall for next week will be held in Ms. Cole's room (room 107) on Tuesday morning at 7:00 am and in Mrs. Payne's room (room 309) on Wednesday afternoon at 3:30. Please see the red board across from Mrs. Noyes room if you have any questions about where, when, and if you are assigned d-hall.

*               Ms. Murphy needs to see any NHS member that did not attend Wednesday’s meeting during Channel One.

*               The Homecoming Dance will be held on SATURDAY, Sept 18 from 8-11 in the cafeteria. Appropriate dress is casual, Sunday type dress. NO FORMALS allowed. Cost is $7 per person

*               Bill Miller Photography will be delivering Senior Proofs at 11:15-1:30 Monday, August 30th  in the cafeteria. Orders will be taken in the school lobby on September 15th, from 11:15 -1:30. Parents are encouraged to attend on September 15th.

 [Announce the following daily until August 31, then a couple times a week until Sept. 30th:]

*               Seniors need to schedule their senior conferences with Mrs. Whitfield. Conferences can be scheduled before school, during the school day or after school. These conferences need to be held before Fall Break.

*               This is an important announcement for Juniors and Seniors. Jostens will be here Tuesday, August 31st. Juniors will meet with the Jostens’ Representative at 11 am in the auditorium for information about ring orders. Seniors will meet with Jostens’ at 2 pm in the auditorium to get information about Senior items and Caps and gowns orders. The Jostens Junior - Senior Night will be at 6 pm that night in the lunch room for parents to come and see what Jostens has to offer.

*               In yesterdays cross country meet at Georgia Highlands the girls team finished 1st with 30 points over Pepperell’s 52 and Model’s 55. The top five girls were Elizabeth, Joana, and Rebecca Mullenax along with Aleana Holmes and Mary Corbin.  The boys team finished 2nd behind Pepperell and beating Model. The boys team was lead by Dent     Watson, Justin Hart, Jose Fortanel, Jonathon Arteaga, and Alan Chavez. The next meet will be at Georgia Highlands on Sept. 7th.

*               Sports scheduled this week:

     The football team plays at Stars Mill in Fayetteville today at 7:30.

*                  Anyone is interested in joining bowling teams for Classic Lanes please come by the office to pick up a flyer.

*                  The FCA will meet Friday mornings in the main gym at 7:30.

*                  2011 Yearbooks can be purchased on line at www.coosahigh.net

*                  011 Senior DVD’s are on sale for $15. See Coach Gossett.

*                  All male students who are 18 years old must register with the Selective Service. Please see Mrs. Whitfield if you need help registering.
