2008-2009 Coosa High School Band
Eagle Band Rocks at Peach State Competition
!!
Congratulations to the Coosa Eagle Band for their
award winning performance at the Peach State Marching Competition held on
Saturday, October
25. The band won first place in
Class AA.
Also in Class AA, the Color
Guard placed 1st, Drum Major Rebekah
Young placed 1st, and the Percussion placed 1st. Superior Ratings were awarded to the
Percussion Section, the Color Guard, the Drum
Major and for the Band’s overall performance. Congratulations to the band
for all of their effort and hard work.
Band Wins First Place !!
Congratulations to the Coosa Eagle
Band for their award winning performance at the Golden River Marching
Band Competition on Saturday, October 18.
The event was held at Haralson Co. H.S.
The
band was crowned Grand Champion in the Silver Division which consisted of
14 bands in Class A and AA. Also in the Championship Division, the Color
Guard placed 2nd and Drum Major Rebekah
Young placed 3rd.
In
Class AA, the Color Guard placed 2nd, Drum Major placed 2nd,
and the Band placed 1st.
Superior Ratings were also awarded to the Percussion Section, the
Color Guard, The Drum Major, and for the Band’s overall performance.
Congratulations
to the band students for their effort and hard work to achieve this high
honor.
The
band is under the leadership of Band Directors Randy Young and Jeff Therber.
