Weekly Update

March 6, 1998....The Coosa
High School Boys team tied Lafayette in overtime. Marco Galvan led the Eagles
with one goal and one assist while Raphael Rodrigues and Tim Davis also scored.
Kris Reyes had 19 saves for the Eagles. This was Lafayettes 4th game and
Coosa's first.
March 17....Coosa defeated
Chattooga 4-1...Rodrigues scored 3 goals while Galvan scored one. Saul Limon
had one assist and Ausin Gattenby also assisted.
March 18.... Coosa fell to
Darlington 8-0 after holding Darlington to 1 goal during the first half.
March 23.... Coosa
defeated Chattooga at home, 5-1...Raphael Rodrigues scored 3 goals while Saul
Limon and Andrew Lewis scored as well. Limon, Lewis, and Logan McAdams had
assists.
March 27...Raphael
Rodrigues scored the lone goal in Coosa's 1-0 win over Central of Carroll
County. Kris Reyes had 17 saves.
March 28... Austin
Gattenby scored his first goal of the season while Brad Bruce scored his first
two in Coosa's 4-1 win over Villa Rica. Raphael Rodrigues scored the first goal
of the game for the Eagles. Brent Hutchinson and Danny Parker played well on
defenses.
March 30 ...despite goals
by Saul Limon, Danny Parker, and Raphael Rodrigues, Coosa lost to Calhoun 5-3.
Marco Galvan and Austin Gattenby had assists as did Rodrigues.
March 31... Coosa defeated
Woodland, 8-0 in a rain shortened game (45th min.). Raphael Rodirgues, Saul
Limon, Danny Parker, and Marco Galvan each had two goals. Andrew Lewis,
Rodrigues, Galvan, and Brad Bruce each had assists.
April 4........Coosa
defeated Carrollton, 4-3...Raphael Rodrigues, Marco Galvan, Saul Limon, and
Rodrigues again combined for the scoring... Kris Reyes had 16 saves in goal..
April 7.....Coosa was
defeated by Cartersville 4-0 in Cartersville....The Playoffs will be determined
by April 17.....
April 14.....Eagles miss
playoffs by 1 Goal....Lafayette defeated Carrollton 2-1 today ending the Coosa
boy's teams chances for the playoffs..Lafayette has an identical record as
Coosa but has allowed one less goal. Congratulations to Coach Andy Arnold of
Lafayette and to the Coosa Boys for their 6-3-1 season... THANKS GUYS for a
GREAT! Season..
