Coach Coosa High School welcomes Coach John
Mark McFather as the new head boys' basketball
coach. Coach McFather was the head boys' coach at
Marion County High School (Formerly Tri-County H.S.) and has led the
program at Tri-County to Regional championships and State playoffs from
1998 to present at different levels with the highest being the
quarterfinals (twice). Before Tri-County, he served as head girls coach at
Harris County where he led his team to a 1994 undefeated regular season.
The entire Coosa community is excited to have such an outstanding
individual as our new coach and we are sure that he will carry on the
winning tradition established by Coach Larry Bing
(retired). "Coach Bing has done an
outstanding job at Coosa High School.
I would love to build on what he has already done and continue the
great success at this school" stated McFather.
Coach McFather is
married to the former Celina Marler and has 4
children-Jordan (14), Christian (12), Charity (9) and Cassie (7 ).
