Allen Gossett, Engineering and Technology instructor at Coosa High School, has been awarded the Golden Gavel Award from GAeTE (Georgia Association of engineering and Technology Education).  The award was one of several that GAeTE presented recently at the group’s Affiliate Luncheon at the 2010 Georgia Association for Career and Technology Education (GACTE) Conference held July 21st  at the Cobb Galleria. Coach Allen Gossett was presented the award recognizing “faithful and outstanding leadership” for serving as the Georgia Affiliate for Technology Education and GACTE Board Vice President from 2003 - 2006.

Coach Allen Gossett was elected to two straight terms as president and helped to double membership in the both the affiliate and the organization. Gossett has been a member of the GACTE since 1980 and has served in some capacity of leadership for the area or state since 1984.
