Due to frozen precipitation and below freezing temperatures expected overnight, Floyd County Schools will cancel school for students and employees on Friday.  All buildings in Floyd County Schools should be closed for Friday.

All after-school activities and practices have been cancelled for today (Thursday).

All wrestling matches scheduled at Gordon Central on Friday have been moved to Saturday.  All Friday basketball games for Floyd County high schools are away games and are controlled by the host schools.  Floyd County principals are working with the host schools to make the best decision for the safety of our students.  The principals working with the superintendent’s office will make the final decision on team participation in the event that the host school does not cancel a game.

Scheduled Saturday games will not be affected at this time.
