Kayla Rampley, a junior at Pepperell High School, was elected the Georgia FBLA State Reporter for the 2009 – 2010 school year.  Ms. Rampley was elected by her peers after an extensive qualifying process and two-rounds of voting.  The election was held at the Georgia FBLA State Leadership Conference in Atlanta.  Over 3,000 FBLA members from across the state were in attendance at the state meeting.  Ms. Rampley is an active member of the Pepperell High chapter of Future Business Leaders of America and she helped Pepperell High School’s program achieve Gold Chapter status for the 08-09 school year.

There were also winners from Floyd County in individual and team competitions at the conference.  Gina Yu from Armuchee High School took second place in Introduction to Business and qualified to represent Georgia at the National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California in June.  Also qualifying for the National Leadership Conference were Tyler Maner and Ross Collins of Pepperell High School.  Maner and Collins are each members of Georgia’s “Super Team” in Entrepreneurship and Parliamentary Procedure. Austin Castellanos of Pepperell High placed 6th overall in Impromptu Speaking and Pepperell’s team of Connor Holmes, Kayla Rampley and Tyler Maner placed 5th overall in Digital Video Production.
