Timothy Reynolds, a tenth-grade student at Model High School, was invited to perform with the Rome Symphony Orchestra during a performance by the group on February 21, 2008.  Timothy played second violin during the performance by the community orchestra.

Reynolds is a highly decorated performer.  He was recently selected as an All-State Orchestra participant and will perform with the group in Savannah, March 5-7.  Reynolds has also been selected to perform during the March Floyd County Board of Education meeting to be held next Tuesday.  He will perform several selections on the violin including The Entertainer by Scott Joplin.  He will be accompanied on the violin by his sister Timia Reynolds, an eighth-grade student at Model Middle School.  Timia has also been selected to All-State Orchestra.  Both Timothy and Timia have played the violin for nine years.

The performance at the Board Meeting is in recognition of March as Music in our Schools Month and Youth Art Month.
