Jeremiah Russell Watson (Jeremy), a senior at Coosa High School, has received an appointment to the U. S. Military Academy at West Point.  The appointment was made by U.S. Congressman Phil Gingrey.

Jeremy is an Honors College Prep candidate for graduation in May, 2008 from Coosa High School.  He plays baseball and football, is a member of the National Honor Society and on the Leadership Team of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Coosa.  Jeremy has been an invaluable asset to Coosa High School according to Heather Whitfield, counselor at Coosa. "Jeremy is an extremely well-rounded student.  He excels in the classroom and on the athletic field.  He demonstrates high moral values and has a strong sense of who he is,” Whitfield said.

Jeremy plans to attend the United States Military Academy at West Point and study engineering.  His career goal is to become a helicopter pilot.

Jeremy resides in Cave Spring, Georgia.
