Dottie Taylor, assistant principal at Midway Primary, is the new principal at Pepperell Middle School.  Taylor was approved by the Floyd County Board of Education at a called meeting of the board this morning, December 19, 2007. 

Frank Pinson, current principal of Pepperell Middle, is leaving the school to be the chief executive officer at the Floyd County Schools College and Career Academy, the system’s new charter school set to open in August 2008.

For Dottie Taylor it is a case of going back to the beginnings of her education career.  She was a teacher at Pepperell Middle for most of the decade of the 90’s.  She also served as assistant principal of the school for six years beginning in 2001.  Taylor moved to Midway Primary, a feeder school to Pepperell Elementary and Pepperell Middle in 2006 as assistant principal. 

Dottie Taylor will begin her duties as principal of Pepperell Middle after the Christmas break.
