A lunch favorite of students and teachers in Floyd County
Schools could soon be on the menu at schools across the country. A
Lasagna with egg noodles recipe prepared in Floyd County Schools
has been selected as a finalist in JTM Food Group’s Recipe
for Renovation contest. The recipe was one of ten entries
from across the country selected as a finalist. JTM
is looking for the most unique, kid worthy, easy to prepare
recipes in the nation-wide contest. “This is a
tremendous honor for our school nutrition staff,” said
Donna Carver, school nutrition director for Floyd County Schools. “This
recipe is a favorite with students and faculty. The school
nutrition employees love it not only for the taste, but for
the ease of preparation."
The winner of the
recipe contest will be selected by votes from the public on
the JTM website at jtmfoodgroup.com. Visitors
to the site can enter their vote by clicking on the Recipe
for Renovation logo. Once on the voting site,
you can vote for a recipe by clicking on the Love It button
or vote against a competing recipe by clicking on the Leave
It button. The winning recipe will win a $7,000
cafeteria makeover from JTM Food Group. Voters also have
an opportunity to win one of five Accutemp steamers to be awarded
to those evaluating the recipes.
You can vote for the entry from Floyd County Schools through
December 21, 2007. The winner of the recipe contest and
the $7,000 cafeteria make-over will be announced in January.
