The System Spelling Bee for Floyd County Schools is scheduled for Friday, February 9, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. The system spell-off, to determine the school system champion, will be held in the board room at the Floyd County Board of Education Office on Riverside Parkway .

The annual spell-off will feature eleven of the top spellers in the school system in grades four through eighth. Each elementary with a grade four or five and all four middle schools in the system will be represented in the competition.

The winner of the Floyd County Spelling Bee will compete in the District 1 Spelling Bee scheduled for Saturday, February 24, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. The District Spelling Bee will also be held at the Floyd County Board of Education office.
