Three band performers from Floyd County Schools have been honored by the Georgia Music Educators All-State Band program.  Two performers were selected to be a part of the All-State Band and one student was named as an alternate.  Jordan Parker, a senior at Pepperell High School , and Samantha Mazzola, an eighth-grader at Armuchee Middle School , were selected to participate in the All-State Band.  Aaron Thacker, a senior at Pepperell High, was named as an alternate to the program.

Jordan Parker was named to the All-State Band as a trumpet player.  He is an active member of the Pepperell High Dragon Band.  Parker will participate in the 11^th and 12^th grade Symphonic Band.

Samantha Mazzola was named to the All-State Band for clarinet.  She competed against students from all over Georgia for only 36 available spots for her instrument in the All-State Band.  Mazzola will participate in the Middle School All-State Band.

Aaron Thacker was named as an alternate trumpet player to the All-State Band program.  He is an alternate in the 11^th & 12^th grade Symphonic Band.

The All-State Band rehearsals and performances will be held March 1-3 in Savannah , Georgia in the Savannah Civic Center .
