Program Information

• The After School Care Program (ASCP) is offered to all parents in the Floyd County School System.  The purpose of the program is to provide a safe, supervised environment for children after the regular school day.

• The After School Care Program is available to students enrolled in grades PK-5, and operates from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Parents interested in the ASCP may pick up a registration form in the school’s front office.

• Each child will be provided a snack, supervised physical activities, and study time on a daily basis.

• A minimum of 10 students must register and pay before a school can offer an After School Care Program.

Program Costs

• The cost for students participating in the After School Care Program is $5.00 per day.  After the first child, a reduced rate of $2 per child will be assessed. 

• The ASCP operates on a pre-pay basis.  All payments should be made prior to students staying in the ASCP.  Please make checks payable to the school your child attends.

• Please place payments in the ASCP envelopes provided by the school.

• A late fee of $2.00 per minute will be charged for each student picked up after 6:00 p.m.  Late fees must be paid before the student is permitted to stay in the After School Care Program.

Expectations for Student Behavior

• The ASCP is a service provided by the Floyd County Schools to assist parents with child care after regular school hours.  The high expectations held for positive student behavior during the regular school day continues through ASCP.  Parents will be notified if their child violates the rules.  Students who have continued violations may be withdrawn from the program.

Registration

• To register your child for the After School Care Program, please complete the reverse side of this brochure and return to your child’s school.  The ASCP registration form must be completed and returned prior to participation in the program.
