In order to help offset the costs of maintaining the non-releasable wildlife used in Environmental Education classes at Arrowhead, we are continuing our "Adopt An Animal" program. The adoption fees will contribute to the upkeep, housing, and feeding of these animals for one school year. Schools, classes, or individuals students or school staff may adopt these animals. After the animal is adopted, it may be brought to the adopting school or class for a outreach visit. The indiviual students or school staff may come and see their animal at Arrowhead on a class field trip! More than one class or school can adopt the same animal.
Those who adopt an animal will receive a certificate for framing, a photograph, and information about their animal. Labels will be placed on the animal's habitat signifying who adopted the animal. The money collected will insure that these wild non-releasable creatures will have a secure and comfortable life in captivity in exchange for the valuable lessons that they teach us when used in our educational programs.
The list below shows the animal available for adoption and fees.
