What is AlertNow Access?
AlertNow Access is a web-based service which allows you, the parent, to control messages that come to your home from Floyd County Schools over the automated telephone messaging system.
What can I do?
- You can choose your preferred phone number or numbers for general school message to be sent to your home. (*Opt-out is not permitted for Emergency messages)
- Update or add phone numbers and e-mail addresses to receive messages.
Note: You can’t change the number in the official school records using the system.
- You may delete phone numbers or e-mails you have previously added to the system.
- You may access the last 15 days of messages sent to your phones or e-mail addresses
- You can also send a short message to your child's school
Is AlertNow Access available?
AlertNow Access is available now and being used by parents in the school system. If you have not been notified, the school may not have your current email address. Please contact your child’s school and provide them with your email address as contact information. To get login information, please send an email to and request account login information to AlertNow Access. Sending an email to the webmaster address will not provide your email address to the local school. For email communication from the school, you must also provide the information to your local school.
Is using this system required?
Use of the AlertNow Access system is NOT required. You are automatically opted in to all types of messages. If you would like to receive messages on a different phone or e-mail, AlertNow Access is the tool you will use to change your preferences.
