School Candidate Name Candidate Biography
Coosa High Tony McIntosh

I have a child in Coosa High School and I have noticed a lot of areas schools are having trouble because funding is disappearing.  I think I can offer solutions on how schools can still serve students with the tools they need. Also, I see teachers are having more pressure put upon them to perform in the classroom, even with reduced resources.  I think, looking in from the outside and being removed from the school politics, I can offer solutions in meeting the challenges students, teachers, and administration face.

I was very involved in my child's education as the PTO President at Cave Spring Elementary School. I served on the Cave Spring Elementary school council and I have served on the Superintendent's Advisory Board.  I have been involved with national studies that have looked at our system and understand what issues schools face and I know what parents expect from our schools. I think Coosa has a commitment to providing the best educational programs possible for students and I would like to like to help push those efforts forward.
